Rose-ringed Parakeet chick peeks out, half-feathered and curious about the world outside. Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) chicks inside a tree hollow at Wilderness Orchard in Delhi. The young chicks have mostly bare skin, developing eyes, and oversized pale orange bills, while another chick shows the first emerging feather quills. An adult Rose-ringed Parakeet later appears at the same nest entrance with green plumage, a red bill, and the characteristic black-and-rose neck ring of a male. The footage captures different stages of development within a tree-cavity nest used by the species.
