A Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri), also known as the Ring-necked Parakeet, is seen resting inside a natural tree cavity in New Delhi, India. These vibrant green parrots are highly adaptable birds and are commonly found in urban parks, gardens, and wooded areas throughout the city. The parakeet’s bright green plumage, long pointed tail, and red curved beak make it easily recognizable. Adult males typically display a distinct black and rose-colored ring around the neck, which gives the species its name. From inside the hollow, the bird cautiously observes its surroundings, remaining partially hidden within the tree trunk.
