A pair of Rose-ringed Parakeets (Psittacula krameri) is perched on a tree branch, attentively looking around their surroundings. These vibrant green parrots are easily recognized by their long pointed tails, bright red beaks, and graceful flight. In adult males, a distinctive black and rose-colored ring around the neck gives the species its common name. Rose-ringed Parakeets are highly social and intelligent birds, often seen in pairs or small groups while resting, feeding, or observing potential threats. Their alert posture and constant scanning of the environment help them stay aware of predators and other disturbances. Native to the Indian subcontinent, these parakeets are widely distributed across forests, farmland, city parks, and urban neighborhoods, including many areas of New Delhi
