A fascinating interaction unfolds in Wilderness Orchard as a Common Myna investigates a tree cavity. The myna cautiously peers into the hollow, repeatedly checking the interior before pulling its head back out. After a brief inspection, the bird appears unconvinced and decides against entering, eventually flying away in search of another opportunity. Moments later, the true occupant of the cavity arrives. A Brown-headed Barbet lands beside the nest hole carrying a green insect in its thick bill. The barbet quickly enters the cavity, likely delivering food to its mate or chicks hidden inside. After depositing the insect, the bird reappears at the entrance and peers outside, carefully scanning its surroundings before continuing its nesting duties.
