A Coppersmith Barbet (Psilopogon haemacephalus), also known as the crimson-breasted barbet, is observed visiting a cavity nest in a tree trunk. The colorful bird lands near the entrance and pauses briefly, carefully scanning its surroundings before approaching the hollow. After a moment of vigilance, the barbet inserts its head into the cavity and then disappears completely inside the nest chamber. Tree cavities like these are often excavated by barbets themselves using their strong, chisel-like bills, providing secure nesting and roosting sites. Shortly afterward, the bird emerges from the hollow carrying food in its beak. It pauses at the entrance before taking flight, likely transporting the food to feed its mate or nestlings.
