A male Himalayan Woodpecker (Dendrocopos himalayensis) is shown moving along moss-covered tree branches in a forested mountain habitat. The bird grips the bark with its feet and uses its bill to inspect and probe the tree surface while foraging. Its black-and-white plumage, red crown, and reddish lower back are visible as it moves around the branches. The footage visually captures the woodpecker climbing, changing position, and searching the bark for food.
