a Brown-fronted Woodpecker (Dendrocoptes auriceps) actively foraging on a moss-covered tree branch in a Himalayan forest. The bird uses its sharp, chisel-like beak to probe and peck into the bark, searching for insects and larvae hidden beneath the surface. It moves methodically along the branch, pausing to inspect crevices before continuing its food search. The lush moss and weathered bark provide an ideal habitat for the insects it feeds upon. Surrounded by the tranquil woodland environment, the footage offers a close look at the natural feeding behaviour and ecological role of this colourful Himalayan woodpecker.
