Common Myna feeding chick at tree nest cavity An adult Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis), also known as the Indian Myna, is perched on a large tree trunk beside a natural nest cavity. The brown-bodied bird with a black head and yellow bill and legs leans toward the hollow where a chick is partially visible. The gray-feathered chick stretches upward with its bill open inside the dark cavity. Green foliage and filtered daylight form the background around the nesting site.
