An Indian Thick-knee (Burhinus indicus), also known as the Indian Stone Curlew, in a natural orchard habitat. The bird is initially observed crouching among grass and ground vegetation near two eggs laid on the ground. It then approaches the nest site and settles over the eggs, displaying incubation behaviour typical of ground-nesting birds. In another sequence, a pair of Indian Thick-knees can be seen walking through dense green foliage while carefully scanning their surroundings. Their alert posture and deliberate movements reflect the species' vigilance in open and semi-open habitats. The video documents nesting and foraging behaviour of this native bird species in India.
