Two Grey Francolins (Ortygornis pondicerianus) are observed foraging on the ground in a grassy, leaf-strewn area within a wilderness orchard in Delhi, India. The birds display cryptic brown and buff plumage with fine barring, providing effective camouflage in dry grass and scrub habitats. They move across the ground while pecking and searching for seeds and small invertebrates. The surrounding environment consists of mixed grass cover and scattered dry leaves. Both individuals remain close together, indicating typical pair or small group behaviour. Natural daylight highlights their patterned plumage and ground-level activity.
