Grey Francolins (Francolinus pondicerianus), locally known as teetar in India, are seen walking on the ground near bushes in New Delhi. These ground-dwelling birds are well adapted to semi-arid landscapes, scrublands, agricultural fields, and urban green spaces. Their grey-brown plumage with fine barring provides excellent camouflage, allowing them to move quietly through low vegetation.
