Two Grey Francolin are perched on the branches of a Neem tree in the Wilderness Orchard area of Delhi. The birds are partially concealed behind dense green foliage while facing and observing each other from nearby branches. Their barred brown-grey plumage provides camouflage among the leaves and tree branches. Grey Francolins are ground-dwelling birds commonly found in scrublands, agricultural fields, orchards, and urban green spaces across northern India. The Neem tree canopy creates shaded cover and resting space within the orchard habitat. The footage captures quiet interaction and perched behaviour of the birds within a natural urban woodland environment.
