A Great Barbet, the largest species of barbet (around 31–33 cm), is observed perched in a forested Himalayan setting. It is easily recognized by its striking blue head, green body, and a large pale yellow bill. This bird is commonly found in broadleaf evergreen forests across the Himalayas, including northern India, as well as Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and parts of Southeast Asia. Great Barbets primarily feed on fruits and insects, playing an important role in forest ecosystems through seed dispersal. The scene highlights its distinctive appearance, habitat, and feeding behavior.
