Brown-headed Barbet is observed flying rapidly to a tree hollow in Wilderness Orchard while carrying food in its beak. Upon arrival, the bird grips the entrance with its feet and repeatedly peers inside the cavity. It looks into the hollow several times, withdrawing its head and scanning the surroundings between inspections. The behavior suggests communication or coordination with another barbet inside the nest cavity. After a brief pause, a second Brown-headed Barbet emerges from the hollow entrance. The arriving bird transfers the food directly to the other barbet before departing, a feeding interaction associated with nesting or pair behavior. The video captures a notable example of parental care or cooperative feeding in this cavity-nesting species.
