Three Brown-headed Barbet, also known as the Large Green Barbet, perched on the slender branches of a tree in Wilderness Orchard, New Delhi. These colorful birds are easily recognized by their bright green plumage, streaked brown heads and breasts, stout orange-yellow bills, and distinctive patches of bare yellow skin around their eyes. One of the barbets can be seen with its bill slightly open, possibly calling or communicating with the others. Brown-headed Barbets are among the most vocal birds of India's woodlands, orchards, and urban green spaces, producing loud, repetitive calls that often reveal their presence long before they are spotted.
