Colourful birds and common in the public parks and areas with tall trees. A female Rose-ringed Parakeet or Ring-necked Parakeet perches on a dry stump of a tall neem tree. Behind the bird is a hollow which must be its nest. The parakeet is seen up close and is without the belt like black line seen in the neck of males. The bird is clawing its way up towards the hollow. Watch how adept it climbs or more like walks up towards the hollow.
