In New Delhi, India, a Rose-ringed parakeet (Psittacula krameri) interacting with a tree hollow. The species is recognized by its bright green plumage, long tapered tail, and red curved bill. Rose-ringed parakeets are secondary cavity nesters and depend on natural holes in mature trees for nesting and breeding activities. The bird appears to be inspecting or occupying a vacant cavity, which is common behaviour during the breeding season. Such parakeets are widely found in parks, gardens, and woodland areas across Delhi and other parts of India.
