A Brown-headed Barbet (Megalaima zeylanica) feeds on large gular berries from a Ficus racemosa tree, gripping and swallowing the fruit in repeated attempts. The bird manipulates the berries with its beak, adjusting position before consuming them whole. Close-up detail shows feeding effort and fruit handling as the barbet processes oversized figs. After feeding, the bird remains perched and becomes still, showing reduced movement. The sequence captures feeding and post-feeding behaviour on a fruiting tree.
