This peaceful winter sunset clip captures a group of Pied Avocets (Recurvirostra avosetta) gathered along the banks of Sambhar Lake, Rajasthan, one of India’s most significant saline wetland ecosystems. As the sun sets, warm golden light reflects beautifully across the shallow, water-filled salt pans, creating a glowing surface that enhances the calm atmosphere of the scene. The Pied Avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta), an elegant medium-sized white wader with striking black markings and a distinctive upcurved bill, is seen actively foraging in the shallow water.
