An Indian pond heron or paddybird (Ardeola grayii) forages in between grasses. It goes looking for prey from the grass towards the wetland. it finally catches a prey and feeds on it. Members of this bird species feed on crustaceans, insects, fishes, and amphibians. The plumage of these birds differ according to their maturity and season. The bird looks white when it takes flight due to the white plumage underwings and tail.
