Kanwar yatri walks along the highway towards Haridwar as part of the annual Kanwar Yatra, a sacred pilgrimage dedicated to Lord Shiva. Carrying the kanwar on their shoulders, the devotees transport holy Ganga water collected from Haridwar to offer at Shiva temples in their hometowns. The kanwars are often richly decorated, with many yatri creating world that display idols and images of Lord Shankar, Along the journey, yatris also carry personal belongings such as water bottles, food supplies, cloth bags, and basic bedding. Some kanwars include small sound systems playing bhajans, while others feature lights and artistic designs. Temporary rest and relaxation arrangements, including camps, mats, medical aid, and community food stalls, are set up along highways to support the pilgrims. The s
