Kanwar yatris walk along the roads of Haridwar during the vibrant Kanwar Yatra, accompanied by a DJ system and a properly decorated four-wheeler that moves alongside the devotees. Loud devotional melodies and “Bol Bam” chants fill the air, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere. The pilgrims carry beautifully decorated kanwars balanced on their shoulders, with pots filled with sacred Ganga jal collected from the river. Along with the kanwar, many also carry tridents, saffron flags, small idols or images of Lord Shiva, bells, rudraksha beads, and sacred threads. Some keep backpacks with food, water bottles, medicines, towels, and basic supplies for the long journey. Together, the music, decorated vehicle, and determined devotees turn the streets of Haridwar into a moving celebration o
