Maun Mela, a traditional community fishing festival held along the Aglar River in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. Large numbers of participants gather along the rocky riverbed and enter the shallow mountain river to catch fish using traditional methods. The footage also shows steep Himalayan terrain, dense vegetation, rocky riverbanks, and groups of people gathered along the water. Twin steel truss bridges span a nearby mountain gorge, where heavy traffic forms long queues of cars, utility vehicles, and trucks on the surrounding roads. Mist and haze partially obscure the distant mountain landscape.
