A striking Black-headed Jay (Garrulus lanceolatus) perches gracefully on the bare branches of a leafless tree in the cool Himalayan landscape of Jabberkhet, Mussoorie. Its contrasting plumage—jet-black head, pale grey body, and bright blue barred wing patch—stands out vividly against the muted winter backdrop.
