A Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius), belonging to the Himalayan bispecularis group, in the forests of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, India. The colorful jay is first seen perched quietly among a network of slender tree branches, scanning its surroundings with alert movements. Surrounded by dense woodland vegetation, the bird carefully observes the forest before descending to the ground. In another scene, the jay stands on bare soil covered with green leaves and natural forest litter, continuing to search for food while remaining vigilant. Known for its intelligence and striking plumage, the Eurasian Jay is a fascinating member of the crow family and an important part of Himalayan forest ecosystems.
