A large flock of wild Demoiselle Cranes gathers across the open ground in Khichan, one of India’s most famous wintering sites for migratory cranes. The elegant birds move together while actively foraging across the dry terrain, searching for grains and food scattered on the ground. Their soft grey plumage, black necks, and distinctive white ear tufts are visible as they walk gracefully in groups. Throughout the footage, the cranes' natural calls and vocalisations fill the environment, capturing the lively atmosphere of this remarkable migratory gathering. Every year, thousands of Demoiselle Cranes travel vast distances from Central Asia to Rajasthan, making Khichan internationally known for bird conservation and migratory wildlife tourism.
