A Red-wattled Lapwing is observed on green ground during active rainfall. This ground-dwelling bird is common across open fields, wetlands, and urban green spaces in India. It is identified by its black head and chest, brown wings, white underparts, and distinctive red facial wattles. The bird moves across wet grass, typical of its foraging behaviour for insects and small invertebrates. Raindrops and damp vegetation indicate monsoon or rainy conditions. The footage captures the species’ activity in a rain-affected habitat.
