An approaching winter and this purple Sunbird will be yellow in colour for now before the spring next year. A male individual with traces of the purple and blue plumage sits atop a branch near our office complex in Delhi. The male in the spring next year will be a spectacular sight when it starts breeding but for now, it looks rather unattractive.
