A Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) perched among dense foliage in Wilderness Orchard, New Delhi, India. This parakeet is identified by its bright green plumage, long tapered tail, and distinctive red curved bill. The absence of the characteristic black-and-pink neck ring indicates that the bird is likely a female or an immature individual. Rose-ringed Parakeets are among the most widespread parrot species across the Indian subcontinent and are commonly found in orchards, parks, gardens, and urban green spaces. Their green coloration provides effective camouflage within tree canopies and dense vegetation. The video shows the parakeet resting quietly among the leaves in its natural habitat.
