A Brown-headed Barbet, also known as the Large Green Barbet, is observed clinging to a tree trunk near a nesting cavity in Wilderness Orchard. The bird arrives carrying green plant material in its beak and cautiously peers into the hollow before briefly withdrawing its head. After inspecting the cavity, the barbet enters the nest hole completely. A short time later, it reappears at the entrance with soil or debris in its beak, suggesting nest excavation, cleaning, or maintenance activity within the cavity. The bird then departs, flying away from the nesting site.
