An open-air honeycomb hangs beneath a thick tree branch, covered by thousands of closely packed honey bees. The bees form a dense layer across the exposed comb, leaving only parts of the honeycomb visible. Green leaves surround the colony beneath the tree canopy. The hive appears consistent with a Rock Bee or Giant Honey Bee (Apis dorsata).
