The video shows a large beehive of giant honey bees (Apis dorsata) attached to a tree trunk. The Giant Honey Bee (Apis dorsata) is one of the largest honey-producing bees in the world, known for building massive single-comb beehives in open and elevated places. Unlike domesticated honey bees, Apis dorsata is completely wild and prefers nesting on tree trunks, tall branches, cliffs, and buildings. Their hives are often impressive in size—sometimes over one meter wide—and house thousands of bees working together in perfect coordination. The hive is constructed from a single comb, hanging vertically from a surface. The top portion is reserved for honey storage, while the lower areas are used for brood rearing. These bees are highly protective and use synchronised movement called “shimmering”
