Perched among the branches, a Brown-headed Barbet (Psilopogon zeylanicus) seems unusually restless. Its head turns sharply from side to side, eyes scanning every corner of the surrounding canopy as though searching for something only it can see. The vibrant green bird barely pauses between glances. One moment it peers into the distance, the next it twists its neck to inspect the world behind it. There is an urgency in its movements—a sense that time is short and something important demands its attention.
