A small group of Grey Francolins—commonly known as grey partridge or teeta—are seen pecking grains in the fresh green grass. Their soft clucking and quick movements blend naturally with the peaceful landscape. These ground-dwelling birds, with their brown-grey patterned feathers, are native to the plains of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and parts of Iran. Widely found in agricultural fields, scrublands, and open countryside, teetars are known for their alert nature and strong bonding in small coveys.
