A female Purple Sunbird (Cinnyris asiaticus) is observed feeding on a bottlebrush flower (Callistemon). The bird uses its slender, downward-curved bill to access nectar from the flower’s stamens. It also forages on nearby leaves, picking small insects and spiders as part of its diet. The sunbird moves actively between flowers and foliage while maintaining short perches.
