What lovely sharp colour contrasts as the male electric blue iridescent Purple Sunbird visits orange Flame of the Forest or dhak / Tesu / teshu / palas / palash flowers at the Wilderness Orchard in the ephemeral New Delhi spring.Spring is definitely here and birds are having the time of their lives getting ready to reproduce. The colours of spring are an addition to the cheerful calls of multiple species of birds or vice versa. In this chaos of mating bird calls, one stands out with its unique coat of feathers for attracting the females.
