Jungle Babbler, Oriental Magpie-Robin, House Sparrow, Brown-headed Barbet are common birds found in trees and parks in New Delhi. They have adapted to living in residential areas along with other birds.

These common birds in Delhi are quite colourful with their yellow foot and greenish and subtle grey plumage. Yellow-footed Green Pigeon are common on fruit trees and shaded trees in parks and roadsides.

This Katphora or Golden-backed Woodpecker (now known as the Lesser Flameback) lives up to its name, by excavating a nest-hole within the dead tree trunk of a Casuarina tree at our Orchard in Delhi.

This is stiff competition for ownership of a much-in-demand hollow tree trunk with a nest-hole in an urban Gulmohor tree, between a Common Myna couple and an Indian Grey Hornbill pair.
