Common Gray Mongoose or Indian Gray Mongoose - Lethal predator of King Cobra spotted in Delhi A pair of cute Indian Gray Mongoose ventures outside the burrow under a concrete structure. The curious animals look around and quickly re enter the burrow. A small juvenile is also seen outside before retreating back into ints den. Notice the curious looking faces and the alertness while exploring the surroundings of their dwelling. This has been filmed at a public park in New Delhi. These are small, common but very lethal predators. They are known to engage in heated fights with snakes, poisonous and non poisonous, scorpions etc. The Gray Mongoose is known for its ability to predate on the King Cobra which is difficult to do so because of the speed of the snake.
