Meet Riki, Tiki, Tawi and Ravi, our wildfilmsindia family of baby mongoose in Delhi! Is the plural of mongoose mongooses or mongeese? Go figure! Since there are four mongooses in this litter, we decided to name them Riki, Tiki, Tawi and Ravi! These cute little mongoose pups look out of their stone fortress, out at the world passing by, surprised by all the sights and sounds. They were born deep within, in darkness. Only now are they venturing out and being taught hunting skills by their mum. Even before that, they are being taught caution and wariness, discretion and alertness! As this mongoose pup stands on sharp rocks near her den, she lifts her tail high to reveal her anus, and then scrapes her anus on the rock below. Maybe she has worms or is having a hard time today...? She preens and
