Collared Owlet is observed perched calmly on a tree branch while surveying its surroundings. The small owl repeatedly looks from side to side before facing forward, demonstrating its alert and vigilant behaviour. After several moments of observation, it rotates its head to inspect the area behind it. The species is one of Asia's smallest owls and is recognized by its compact size and finely barred plumage. Unlike many owl species, the Collared Owlet is often active during daylight hours in montane forests. The video documents the characteristic scanning and head-turning behavior of this small Himalayan owl.
