A group of Stripe throated Yuhina at wildfilmsindia forest at Jabbarkhet around Mussoorie Cute little fella sitting on a wild Himalayan pear tree in early winter fruit. This is a Stripe-throated Yuhina (Yuhina Gularis Hodgson ) observing its surroundings. Although it can't be heard on this clip, its calls are typically loud, short and quite nasal notes. This bird is rather large, reaching a maximum of 16 centimetres. This species mostly feeds of insects: beetles, wasps.. it also feeds from berries and flower nectar. These individuals are resident birds making some altitudinal descent in winter. A common Rosefinch can also be seen, followed by a Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush, both making sure of their surrounding areas, on top of trees. Life can be hard for smaller birds. Every day they can
