In the forests of Jabarkhet, a tiny semi-slug slowly makes its way across a weathered piece of decaying wood. Unlike typical land snails, semi-slugs possess a shell that is too small for their bodies to fully retract into. The animal's elongated, muscular body extends well beyond its delicate shell, allowing it to move with surprising flexibility through the moist forest habitat. The glossy shell, pale-brown body, and preference for damp, decaying wood are characteristic of many semi-slugs found in Himalayan forests. These often-overlooked creatures play an important ecological role by helping break down organic matter and recycle nutrients within woodland ecosystems. Filmed in the rich biodiversity of Jabarkhet, this close-up glimpse reveals the hidden world of one of the forest's smalles
