A Rose-ringed parakeet looks around from the top of a tree while a cute green pigeon feasts from some berries. Indian Ringneck Parakeets are normally coloured green, with the exception of the turquoise blue on their tail-feathers and the black and rose coloured rings around the necks of the males. However, captive breeding programs have given rise to a number of beautiful colour mutations within the species. However they are easily spotted all around India. These green pigeons are quite common as well. Their upper parts are greyish green to yellowish green, their thighs are yellow with mauve patches on the top of the wing. The green plumage provides a great camouflage in the tops of trees. Their bills are red at the base white at the tip. Their feet are also red. They eat mainly fruit such
