A couple of Ringneck Parakeets is spotted in a tree, interacting with each other. A thirsty individual is equally spotted drinking water from a pond and also entering and leaving its nest. Wild Indian Ringneck Parakeets are normally coloured green, with the exception of the turquoise blue on their tail feathers and the black and rose coloured rings around the necks of the males. However, captive breeding programs have given rise to a number of beautiful colour mutations within the species. This has led to the availability of blue, yellow (lutino), and white Indian Ringnecks, among other striking colours and colour combinations. In many places, the colour mutated birds have become even more popular than the wild coloured birds, although the normal green coloration is itself bright and beaut
