Owls are of the order Strigiformes, constituting 200 extant bird of prey species. Owls hunt mostly small mammals, insects, and other birds. Owls have large forward-facing eyes, ear-holes and beak like hawk. Owls have a flat face and they can rotate their heads and necks as much as 270 degrees in either direction. Mostly owls are nocturnal which means they can actively hunt only when it is dark.
