A bunch of bulbuls get together to create panic around and mob a roosting Collared Scops Owl in the daytime, under the canopy of a creeper. This relatively tiny bird can create quite a racket, when alarmed! Pycnonotus cafer or the Red-vented Bulbul is a sprightly resident of city gardens in India. Coming up next is the Ashy Wren Warbler or Ashy Prinia. Spring brings new beginnings and fresh blossoms for this common passerine bird in India. Bulbuls enjoy the fresh bounty of flowers and buds on the wild fruit trees and peepal tree. Flower nectar and fresh buds are the main sources of food of bulbuls.
