Slaty-headed Parakeet all but destroys Rhododendron flower petals and entire flower head bunches as it feasts on them in the Himalaya When walking among the tree's branches, this tota actually uses its beak as a fifth leg, using it to locomote and feed alike! Eat some, ruin some, drop the rest to the ground... This parakeet's floral attitude seems to need some work! Camouflaged among the leaves, we can barely see the parakeet, but the florets are demolished meticulously as they are partly devoured and then dropped by this Slaty-headed Parakeet. It must be quite a feast chomping down the sweet nectar of the flowers. The Parakeet is too engrossed in the spring bounty to even notice the camera! A Striated Laughing Thrush and a Black-crowned Jay join into the festivities and the sylvan floral
