A White-capped Redstart (Phoenicurus leucocephalus) is seen near a clear mountain stream in the Himalayan forest, actively moving here and there along the rocky edges. Its striking black body, bright chestnut belly, and distinct white crown stand out beautifully against the flowing water. The bird constantly wags its tail, a characteristic behaviour of Phoenicurus leucocephalus, while searching for insects among wet stones. Agile and alert, it makes short hops and quick flights over the stream, perfectly adapted to fast-flowing river habitats. This lively movement adds charm to the serene Himalayan woodland setting.
