Captured from a moving vehicle, this footage showcases the spectacular Moonland landscape of Lamayuru, one of Ladakh's most distinctive geological formations. Located along the Srinagar–Leh Highway (NH1), the pale yellow and cream-colored sedimentary hills have been sculpted by millions of years of erosion, creating a terrain that resembles the surface of the moon. According to geological studies, the area was once the bed of an ancient lake, leaving behind soft clay and sediment deposits that evolved into the dramatic formations seen today. The journey follows a smooth mountain highway winding through the high-altitude cold desert of the Trans-Himalayas.
