A pair of Oriental Turtle Doves (Streptopelia orientalis), also known as Rufous Turtle Doves, in the Motidhar area of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, India. The birds are observed moving through low vegetation and shrubs while searching for and feeding on natural food sources. Their characteristic rufous-scaled wing coverts and mottled brown plumage are visible during the foraging activity. Additional footage shows one of the doves perched on a tree branch, scanning its surroundings and exhibiting alert behavior. After a brief period of observation, the bird takes flight and leaves the perch. The video documents feeding, perching, and flight behavior of this member of the Columbidae family in its Himalayan foothill habitat.
